Run For A Cure Africa

Run for a Cure Africa is a powerful nonprofit organization for the eradication of breast cancer in Africa. We are comprised of individuals directly or indirectly affected by breast cancer who want to lessen the impact of this disease on the less privileged women of our community.

Our Mission

Our Mission To create a greater awareness of breast cancer throughout Africa through targeted education that erases societal stigmas and by forming strategic alliances. We aim to provide free screenings to the impoverished women of this continent and to alleviate the cost of treatment to these same women.

HISTORY & MISSION

 

Run for a Cure Africa (RFCA) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in 2009 with a mission to turn the 90% mortality rate of breast cancer in Africa in a 90% survival rate.

 

During the last 6 years, RFCA opened sister locations in Cameroon, Ghana and Nigeria to provide breast cancer education, free breast screenings and paying for the costs of breast cancer treatment for women in those regions. RFCA also hosts and annual race in Cameroon, Ghana and Nigeria as well as other fundraising events.
